Currently, Mr. Earl is serving as the Ecosystem Accelerator in Residence for the Hardesty Renaissance Economic Development Corporation (HREDC) where his primary focus is to convene a diverse and large set of stakeholders to discuss community-wide issues and opportunities. Mr. Earl will work with anchor partners, tenants, local business owners, and residents to plan, coordinate and facilitate the convening of the community at HREDC. What is HREDC?
HREDC entails the redevelopment of the 20-acre former Hardesty Federal Complex, including the rehabilitation of its 7 buildings totaling more than 1.2 million square feet. The goal is to establish Hardesty as a catalytic anchor institution that serves as the center for community and economic development, “lifelong” profession-based learning and wellness. The center will serve as a hub for nonprofit community development programs and services, and housing basic commercial services the community needs. Once activated, the site would serve as the catalytic anchor institution and engine for the surrounding communities and regions like it did when it was first developed during WWII.
Prentiss Earl III was born in Kansas City, MO, is married to his wife Jazzmin and is the proud father of Payton, Maxwell and Gwen.
